As 2026 will be the final season for South Mountain Expeditions, we had an idea of how members of the So. Mt. family could still travel together. We've asked Road Scholar to organize a private tour of the Canadian Rockies just for us. Road Scholar has years of experience offering tours in the parks of Alberta; they offer scores of trips each year to Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper National Parks. All arrangements - lodging, guides, and speakers - will be handled by Road Scholar. Marty Gane plans to join the trip as a participant. 

Road Scholar's "Exploring the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks" tour is 7 nights/8 days in length. The trip begins in Banff and ends in Calgary, Alberta.  Click here to see details. The nature walks average approximately 1-2 miles a day. Before or after the trip, you might consider adding an extra night or two in Calgary and/or taking the Rocky Mountaineer scenic train ride to Vancouver. 

Road Scholar requires a minimum of 18 participants to reserve it exclusively for our group.  The maximum number is 24.  PLEASE NOTE: The deadline for enrollment as a private tour is September 30, 2025.
